Practical Tips for Transforming Chaos into Calm

I woke up this morning to a new and unhealthy habit of reading articles on Medium, I just realized it’s causing me anxiety. I’m getting a ton of articles about platforms to use, how to write better, gain readers, followers, boosts, etc.

Although it would be great to share my insights with the world, I pause and realize- if chasing claps, likes, and follows is my goal, I will be miserable!

We are constantly bombarded with MORE

an overwhelming mess of options, information, and material possessions. New choices sprout out of thin air for every aspect of our lives — material goods, entertainment, career paths, social interactions, and platforms for business and personal use.

The endless stream of new data and choices leads to decision fatigue and paralyzing anxiety, making it hard to discern what truly matters at our core, beyond societal norms and trends.

Over the past decade, I’ve spent a lot of time combing through my life, setting boundaries, practicing presence, developing self-awareness, taking responsibility, and simplifying. So, I quickly noticed the effect Medium was having on me, especially since I’ve been completely off social media for the past year.

This story explores the journey and practices that simplified my life, bringing more peace and presence into my daily routine.
